Arjun is one of the most famous herbs known today. It has many effective medicinal uses especially for the heart and circulatory system which make it such a valuable herbal component in the treatment of heart problems and blood pressure in Ayurveda.
About the plant:
Arjun tree is large sized deciduous evergreen tree with very strong and long roots. It has conical leaves, yellow flowers, and grey colored smooth bark.
How to take:
A standard dose for the purposes of cardiac health appears to be 500mg of the bark (water extract) taken daily in the morning without food (no evidence exists to suggest that taking it with food is bad or anything). For persons who suffered cardiac trauma (such as Myocardial Infarction), this dose tends to be taken thrice a day every 8 hours.
