Medicinal use:

Kachnar cures all types of mouth disorders. The powder of the bark to fight bacteria in the mouth. The chemical substances in the bark help to kill the bacteria and restore the pH balance in the mouth and effective for tonsillitis. This helps you keep the mouth fresh without bad odor.

It is beneficial for a female reproductive system including hormones imbalance, hypothyroidism. Its bark juice is used to cure diarrhea and other infections of the digestive system. It purifies the blood and checks the body’s weight. It purifies and cleanses the ulcers, bleeding piles, and the wounds.

About the plant:

Bauhinia is a herb plant which has a very important place in Ayurvedic treatments. It is an ornamental plant in backyards. Flowers of Bauhinia plant do resemble those of orchids and are the main attraction. It bears big flowers which are found in numerous colours. It also bears fruits which are half to one inch long, slippery, strong and slightly curved. The plant bears flowers in February-March and fruits in April-May.

Stem bark, flowers, leaves, seeds.

How to use:

For oral problems, take bark (10 gm) of Kachnar tree and boil in water (400 ml) till volume reduces to 100 ml, Filter and gargle frequently. For tonsils, thyroid problems boil bark (20 gm) in water (200 ml) till water reduces to 50 ml. filter and drink.
