Justicia Gendarussa is a medicinal herb, used in the treatment of chronic Rheumatism. This plant extracts contain some essential nutrients which are effective for treating swellings in Rheumatism. This herb works as anti-arthritic that is similar to aspirin. This plant leaves extracts are applied externally, to treat rheumatic arthritis and it is very safe to use.

According to studies, Justicia Gendarussa extract may be an effective natural male contraceptive.

About the plant:

Justicia Gendarussa can be found in Indonesia, India, China, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Philippines, and Bangladesh. It is cultivated as an ornamental plant and used for living fences. It is a small, fast-growing, shrub-like plant and grows up to 1meter tall and contains dark purple color, multi-branched stems with green leaves and produces white flowers.

How to grow:

Justicia Gendarussa grows in all types of soils like sandy, loamy and clay soils. Sow the seeds directly in the soil in late spring or early summer. It requires some protection over the winter.

How to use:

Consume Justicia Gandarusa extracts in the form of decoction, tincture, and lotion. For treating Rheumatism, prepare a decoction by boiling 30-60 grams of fresh leaves in water. Roots boiled in milk is also useful for Rheumatism.
